Emmanuel Bible College or Camp

Before I came to EBC, wondered and sort expected it to be maybe a little bit like Camp Cherith.

For those of you who don't know what Camp Cherith is you need to go to this website:, and check out the promo video here:  And then you all need to sign up next summer!

Leaf-piles or God Smiles at the Silly Things

Yesterday evening my ridiculous roommate invited me to join her outside because she needed a break from the hot, stuffy dorm.  I assented and then we decided that shoes are absurd and ripped them off.  So we ran outside into the dimly lit Grove and decided to run through the pleasingly crisp dry maple leaves.  The temperature was heavenly; our feet and arms weren't the slightest bit cold.

Wednesdays or The Weekmiddle

Today I had steel cut oats that I put in the crockpot for over night for breakfast, very yummy, and so easy.  I've been reading for classes the rest of the morning and now I'm taking a break.

Seven Reasons to Live--revisited

Today I'm going write up a new list of my seven reasons to live.

For those of you who haven't read my original "7 Reasons to Live" post here is the link if you would like to read it: 7 Guende zu leben (7 reasons to live)

Again in no particular order (except for the first one):

-Knowing that God thinks I'm special because He made me that way
-Running in the rain at night
-Driving standard and not stalling
-Scoring a goal in ball hockey
-Giving foot rubs
-Cuddling chickens
-Being loved

What are your seven reasons to live?

Do you want to walk with the parade?

...cont from May 17, 2010

After we'd returned back to the camping site in Amsterdam I finished writing my postcards and went to sleep.  In the morning Thilo and I had breakfast together and then we packed up and set out for Brussels.  It took only about 2 hours to drive there from Amsterdam.  We arrived at the camp site at noon only to read on a sign on the reception desk that said there would be no one around from 11-1, and of course, we got there a little after 11 and we couldn't drive in because there was a gate across.

Emmanuel Bible College or "In a Relationship"

I've been here at Bible College for over three weeks now.

Following God has always been the best decision of my life.  He has my best interests at heart.

The community here is wonderful, it is beautiful how easily friendships are started with people whose life goal is the same as mine.  I've been desiring this kind of community, a community of like-hearted people.  Through my courses God has been revealing more and more of how He is all about relationship.  The Trinity is the ultimate relationship and God lets me enter into this perfect relationship because Jesus made it possible.  He created us for relationship; relationship with Him and relationship with others.  I've heard those words many times before but now they are becoming more firmly rooted in truth.

God loves me, and He wants to be near to me!
